Process Development Division History

The Process Development Division formed in the mid 1990's out of the Pilot Plants committee of the Engineering Group.

The group decided on the above structure in 1997, with Area 12a and 12b activated immediately. Areas 12c and 12d were activated in 1998. Areas 12e and 12f were activated in 2006.

The group petitioned the AIChE National Programming Committee in the fall of 2000 to become a formal division of the AIChE.
